About AFORD
AFORD is a Sudanese independent, and not-for-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Uganda, Kampala, and registered in Uganda and Sudan according to Ugandan and Sudanese laws and regulations. AFORD is an individual membership organization that brings together intellectuals, human rights activists, and pro-democracy activists from all over Africa. The AFORD collaborates with a variety of grassroots activists and civil society partners active in the communities, countries, and regions of its priority intervention and work.
Our main objective is to promote human rights, non-discrimination, and socioeconomic development; on the other hand, we endeavor to support regional and international efforts to arrest armed conflicts through peaceful means and to address the needs of the most affected communities in the countries and regions of our priority intervention and work.

Supporting efforts to bring a speedy end to conflicts and restore normal life in countries and regions of priority intervention and work. We support efforts to rebuild the affected regions and to lay down a renewed foundation for peaceful coexistence and respect among the different groups.
