The African Organization for Rights and Development organized a project planning workshop as part of the Empowerment Project for Sudanese Civil Society Organizations and AFORD volunteers
in Uganda. The workshop had 20 participants from 11 organizations working in various fields along with volunteers from these organizations. It spanned 3 days of intensive training, with participants receiving experience certificates.
The workshop covered important topics such as:
Writing the Concept Note
Project Concepts and Proposal Writing
Project Management
Project Risk Management
Detailed Project Budgeting
Project Evaluation and Measurement Indicators
Abdalmageed Haroun: Director of the African organization for Rights and Development, Emphasized the importance of continuing and capacity building of training and empowerment opportunities, encouraging the utilization of the “AFORD” space for emerging organizations and supporting alliances and advocacy campaigns in the fields of peacebuilding and human rights in Sudan.
On another note, Fadil Ahmed, the Training Director for the organization, thanked the workshop facilitator and the trainees for their commitment during the training period and their support in assisting Sudanese individuals during this crisis.
